The new release focuses on simplifying everyday project management tasks and facilitating project team collaboration. New key features include integrated agenda management, easily customizable document-style reports, and a highly visual single project dashboard.

Integrated Agenda Management

While many Excel-based PM tools have included agenda management for quite some time, onepoint now introduces agenda planning and meeting minutes to enterprise-class, web-based PPM solutions. Beside classical functionality such as providing the possibility to create agendas within multiple topic streams and one-click generation of PDF reports for invitation and meeting minutes, onepoint also integrates agenda management with project-based to-do lists. To-dos can be easily included in agendas and show up in personal to-do lists. In turn contributors can create new project-oriented to-dos that the project manager can again include in other agendas. And since to-dos can include activity-based references into project plans, stored meeting minutes in onepoint provide a truely reportable, 360 degree view of project meetings.

Customizable Document-Style Reports

One of onepoint’s key reporting features has always been its flexible report wizard that allows for creation of nearly any tabular or matrix-based report with just a few clicks. The new release adds a totally new level of customizable reporting to the report wizard: manager-level users can now also easily create document-style reports simply by combining a number of simple reports (tabular, matrix, text, image, etc.) into a real larger document. Just like simple reports these document-style reports can not only be easily created, but also updated and extended at any time. Of course, these built-in document-style reports support including the new agenda invitation and agenda minutes reports, as well as all reports that come with the Controlling Cycle Option (CCO) module such as the project progress, project status, and project closure reports.

New Single-Project Dashboard

For the first time onepoint PROJECTS now includes a highly visual single-project dashboard as the main entry point for each project. This makes it a lot easier to get a first glance on the overall status and progress of a single project. The new dashboard shows a summary of the most relevant project properties, upcoming milestones including milestone trend analysis, as well as visually rich information regarding activity, resources, and cost progress. If risk management is enabled the new dashboard even provides the user with a colorful risk chart.

Additionally, the new release also makes existing functionality more accessible in order to make it even easier for new users to get started with onepoint’s PPM solution. For instance, project types and progress tracking modes can now be altered anytime. Other enhancements include more standards-based naming conventions and a number of new, flexible default settings with the goal to further simplify overall project administration.
