onepoint PROJECTS 12 Introduces Portfolio Analysis Option
New major version also features extended risk management and improved configurability.
onepoint PROJECTS, the leading provider of integrated project and portfolio management (PPM) software, has released version 12 of its web-based enterprise solution. The latest release introduces the new Portfolio Analysis Option for graphical portfolio prioritization as well as extended risk management capabilities. In addition, administrators benefit from an updated, HTML5-based user interface. Across industries onepoint PROJECTS is known as one of the most easy-to-use "real" PPM solutions. Its solid feature set ranges from agile and formal project planning over monitoring and controlling to extensive reporting functions.
"After finishing our transition from Java to HTML5, we are again broadening our feature set in onepoint PROJECTS 12 with key expansions driven through customer and market demand," said Gerald Aquila, founder and CEO of onepoint. "Especially organizations that integrate their strategic planning tightly with project execution will benefit from the enhancements in our latest release."
New Portfolio Analysis Option
Today projects need to be closely aligned to strategic business goals. The new Portfolio Analysis Option (PAO) offers integrated, strategic portfolio management and project prioritization rounding up onepoint's PPM offering. Users can define manually rated criteria as well as reuse real-time built-in project fields using dynamic criteria. Scoring models are available on the portfolio level allowing for both company-wide and departmental portfolio analysis. Visual analysis tools include classical bubble charts and tabular overviews. onepoint PROJECTS 12 also introduces a unique visualization enabling the monitoring of up to 12 project dimensions simultaneously. While all classic visualizations allow only for up to 4 dimensions to be highlighted, this latest release introduces an innovative symbol giving a more comprehensive overview at a glance.
Risk Response planning
Further enhancements include a major update to the Risk Management Option (RMO). This additional module allows for the evaluation of risks as well as planning of mitigation and avoidance strategies. The enhanced RMO enables managing project risks based on leading risk management standards and offers easy risk response planning.
The new release also improves on the configurability of the onepoint user interface, e.g. by allowing the administrator user to configure the traffic lights utilized for portfolio overviews and project controlling. By also moving the administration interface to HTML5 now even administrative changes can be completed on the mobile device of choice such as Apple's iPad.
onepoint PROJECTS 12 Enterprise Server is available as a free 30 day trial from www.onepoint-projects.com as of today. Onepoint's Enterprise Cloud offering will be updated to the new release shortly.
