Solo Project Managers Feel Substantial Benefit of New Project Leadership Software
Easily control and monitor parallel projects now also "single-handedly" - from planning to reporting
Today Onepoint Software GmbH released two multiply requested single user versions of their project leadership solution Onepoint Project. With it, now also project managers who lead a project solo can carry out their work easier and more effectively. Through a continuous integration of project management and project controlling, projects become more transparent and at the same time project risk and administrative effort are reduced.
The "Basic Edition" provides the essential base features for project leadership including, for instance, scheduling, project cost planning, ad hoc plan/actual comparisons and a resource utilization analysis. This Open Source version can be downloaded for free from Sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/opproject). Advanced features, such as, e.g., an interactive work breakdown structure (WBS), a milestone trend analysis, or a project pipeline for multi-project-controlling are supported by the "Professional Edition" which can be ordered via the Onepoint website (http://www.onepoint.at).
"The most widely used project management software is still Microsoft Excel - simply because most of the real project management tools are way too complicated", said Onepoint CEO Gerald Mesaric. "With Onepoint Project we offer a simple and transparent alternative which was created for solving the daily, practical issues in project management and which provides real added value in the areas of project monitoring and controlling."
